Maggie is the only one who can get her to smile .
Sorry it's not a great picture but if I try to get a head-on shot she gives me
the "stink-eye". Today (wed.) has been a step back. I am feeling so
sorry for any family who has ever dealt with a colicky baby...this is terrible.
We know she is stressed & grieving but we also know that she is very
strong-willed and stubborn. We are thinking that we may have an endurance
athlete on our hands..it's amazing how long & hard she can cry, but then
turn it off. Doug has had the most difficult job because she wants him to hold
her constantly & be walking with her. I try to take her for walks a few times
a day but he has to do most of the holding right now. I can't hold her in the
room at all without terrible screaming, bucking & kicking. I always have to
take her somewhere away from him. I really felt like I was prepared for most
circumstances but having her despise me was not something I was prepared for.
Doug dreads the 15 hr. flight next Wed. Please be praying for him. He knows
that unless things improve drastically then he will be responsible for her most
of the ride home.
Happy 19th Birthday, Ry
