January Adoption Update

China matched referrals for dates Aug. 11-15, 2006.  5 days isn't too bad for January.  I think this time of year is always a small number because China is about to celebrate Chinese New Year.  They take off about a 2 week period like we do here for Christmas.  I think some years they don't even match in January so what a blessing it is to get 5 days closer this month.  So happy for those families who are seeing their child's face for this first time this week!  I see a friend from high school each Tue. at music time and found out today that they are also adopting from China.  It's so exciting to see other families on this journey.  Our church will have our Sanctity of Human Life service on Feb. 12th.  It's always such a blessing to see the many, many families who have grown through adoption.  Hoping February is a BIG month!  Keep praying for our little pumpkin and her birth family, please!
